ISO 41001 Facility Management

ISO 41001 is an international management system standards (MSS) which specifies the requirements for facilities management systems. It sits within a family of facilities management standards that are being developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) to reflect the growing importance of the sector in the global market and to develop a common understanding of the role.

The standard can be applied to any organisation, large or small, in all industrial, commercial, public and service sectors. It can be integrated with ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, ISO 55001 Asset Management and ISO 50001 Energy Management, which all share a similar language and structure.

ISO 41001 sets out the requirements for facilities management implementation, including facilities management policy development and the setting of appropriate objectives.
