UKAS new brand and logos (18/01/2021)

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that we have launched UKAS’ new brand and website. We are extremely proud of the UKAS brand and its heritage, and our refresh honours this whilst creating a more modern image. Our updated brand represents our progression as a forward-thinking organisation, whilst reflecting our longstanding commitment to quality, service and technical expertise.

The brand development process was initiated by customer feedback and heavily supported through stakeholder engagement via our Policy Advisory Council (PAC) and I would like to thank you for your valuable input in creating a brand we can be proud of. The renewed look is an important part of UKAS’ strategy and supports our expansion into new areas of accreditation and our apex position in the testing, inspection and certification marketplace. Our role within the global accreditation community is also highlighted in our new tagline – ‘A world of confidence.’ Working alongside our customers and stakeholders our goal is to deliver trust and confidence in the products and services we all rely upon. To support our brand refresh and in response to customer feedback, we have launched a new website. We have retained the existing functionality, but care has been taken to streamline the user-journey making it much easier for visitors to find relevant information quickly. This is the beginning of the website experience; it will continually evolve over time with feedback and new content.

Information to support the launch; www.ukas.com – we encourage you to explore the new layout and features. Customer Area of new website – This area contains useful information for all UKAS customers, including application forms and marketing support. Customer toolkit  – learn more about the rebrand, the logos and the new symbols. Brand FAQ’s – we appreciate you may have questions, which hopefully we have answered, but the teams are here to help so you can contact your assessment manager, customer services or marketing with your questions. New UKAS Symbols – we have refreshed the UKAS symbols which can be seen in the toolkit. Your symbols pack will be sent to  you  in a separate communication and you can refer to the conditions of use here.  Please note the updated conditions will be published by BEIS imminently. Transition period – we appreciate that our customers will need time to implement changes to the symbols so we have set out the following pragmatic timeframes; Digital Materials – 1 year from launch (1st February 2022) Printed Materials – 2 years from launch (1st February 2023) Certificates – 3 years from launch (1st February 2024) As we start 2021, I am confident this new branding supports our key role within the global community and our new website equips our customers with the information and resources they require.

Yours sincerely,
