SSiP Update: Release of Rules & Bylaws v8.21 – February 2026

SSiP has issued a small set of amendments to the version released in January 2026. The updated Rules & Bylaws v8.21 (February 2026) replace version 8.20 and include the following clarifications:

Key Changes in v8.21

Membership Rules

  • Update to section 9.7 / Appendix 2, item 3.3 regarding Group Assessments:
    Each trading name, business unit/division, and each address must have its own SSIP portal entry.

Core Criteria

  • Section 8 – Accident Reporting & Enforcement Action:
    A typo has been corrected (occurrence → reoccurrence).
  • Removal of the word “Proposed” from the headings Standards to be Achieved and Examples of Evidence Could Include.
  • General clarification that all “Examples of Evidence” in the Core Criteria are guidance only, not mandatory or prescriptive.

Requirements for SSIP Auditors

These changes do not alter the previous January bulletin, except for the following points:

  • All SSIP auditors must understand and apply the updated sampling and evidence requirements in v8.21.
  • All assessments completed after 20 April 2026 must be carried out to Core Criteria v8.21.
