It was fantastic to see UKAS-accredited certification body colleagues from across the United Kingdom attending the FCB yesterday. The continued success is based on the commitment and interaction of its member certification assessment bodies; it is a community of CABs coming together to problem solve and consider the integrity and success of management system certification and the associated commercial aspects of running the business.
Among the topics discussed yesterday included:
- Witness assessment programmes
- Improvements and promotion of UKAS’ CertCheck and IAF’s CertSearch
- Upcoming revision to standards including: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC, ISO 37001 & FSMS 22000
- Updates to product certification standards
- International certification
The Federation of Certification Bodies has over 25 UKAS-accredited CAB members, and this bunch works hard to improve the certification experience and credibility for the end users through conformity assessment to management system standards.
The FCB is also attended by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) whose involvement plays a significant part in enabling FCB members to continually improve their certification services.
