Integrating management systems

Course overview

This course focusses on the design and benefits of an integrated management system based on two or more management system standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 (and others).

When your organisation is certified to multiple management system standards, it makes sense to avoid duplication by integrating the various parts of your system into one, e.g. one internal audit system, one management review, one policy and a single set of operational controls, etc. After all, through the concept of Annex SL it is the intention to interpret these standards using a common high level structure.

If you follow the guidance set out in our training course, this also means that your organisation may reduce its certification body fees. Certification bodies can justify a reduction in audit time when the client’s management system is integrated and therefore such savings in audit time can be passed on to their clients in a reduction in fees.
