BS 99001 Quality in Construction (Foundation)

Course overview

Atlas Certification is a technical committee member for the writing and development of the new BS 99001 standard which is designed to improve standards within the built environment in the United Kingdom.

This course is developed to give foundation awareness about the additional requirements it places on ISO 9001 the international standard for quality management.

This course is for

  • Organisations within the built environment who currently have or are seeking ISO 9001 certification and wish to confirm with the new requirements of BS 99001
  • Personnel who need to have an understanding of BS 99001 requirements
  • Management system consultants

This course covers

  • Overview and background to BS 99001 and how it links to ISO 9001
  • Extended requirements for:
    • organisational context
    • leadership of projects and customer focus
    • organisational roles, responsibilities and authorities
    • planning of changes to the quality management system and projects
    • managing human resources including the environment for the operation of processes and competence
    • documented information controls
    • the operational planning and control of projects
    • the control of externally provided processes, products and services
    • the control of changes to projects
    • monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation
    • internal audit and management review
    • improvement and handling nonconformities
  • Preparing for BS 99001 certification
